Our Story

Welcome to our blog! Here's the quick and dirty about us:

Chad and I met on our first day of college at Utah State University. We started studying together, since we were in the same math class and lived in the same apartment building. But, those late-night study sessions quickly turned into excuses to hang out together. And that's how our story began. After two years of dating, we tied the knot on August 17, 2002 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

We currently live in Tucson, Arizona. We moved here after living in South Florida for five years, where Chad graduated from medical school and completed his internship year of residency. He is now working for the University of Arizona completing a three-year anesthesiology residency. I was fortunate enough to keep my job from Florida and now work remotely from home. I am the manager of advertising and communications for the business school at Nova Southeastern University.

And--most importantly--Chad and I are thrilled to be parents! Our little angel Reece was born on Jan. 26, 2010 and our handsome little Jace was born on June 30, 2011. We are so blessed to be the mom and dad of such darling and sweet kids.

Our Familiy

CHAD - DEB - REECE - JACE
FALL 2012

Reece is our 2 1/2-year-old princess. She is mastering her letters and numbers, loves to sing and dance, and is getting smarter by the second. She loves to help mom cook, is slightly obsessed with all Disney princesses, enjoys her evening wrestle matches and games of chase with dad, loves to dance along while mom watches any dancing show on TV, and adores her "Baby Jace." There are definitely moments of not-so-nice big sister (it's hard sharing with your little brother) but she does really good most of the time. She attends Joy School every week, loves going to nursery at church, and is looking forward to her tumbling class that starts this month. She is a social little butterfly, and has a blast playing with other kids from church and the neighborhood. She likes to color and paint, play games on the computer, and wear dress-up. One of her favorite things to do right now is to be the mommy to her baby dolls. She is very sweet with them! Reece is my girlie-girl and loves to put on mom's make-up and perfume. Such a little diva!

Jace is known in our house as "The Jace Monster!" At 15 months old, he is all boy and busy, busy, busy. He loves to destroy, but is also a great little snuggle buddy. He has learned to bust-a-move...bouncing and spinning around the second he hears music of any kind. This stage is exhausting but super fun. His little personality is starting to show...he is happy by nature, with a smile to melt your heart and a laugh that is contagious. Poor little Jace wants to run and play all day long although he is not quite coordinated to do all the things he wants...which usually results in about 20 crashes/falls/bonks/spills a day. But our little bruiser won't let a few bumps slow him down! He is getting more verbal (which is good and bad!), and can say ball, dog, boo, mama, and a whole lot of jibber-jabber that no one understands. Oh, and I can't forget to mention his hi-pitched squeal! He loves balls, and has become quite the little slam-dunker. He is pure fun!

Crowther Girls Trip to NYC

I went to NYC with my mother-in-law and two sisters-in-law in September. We had a blast! NYC is such a fun place, especially with a group of girls...shopping, eating out, sight-seeing, going to the theater, getting pedicures...what could be better!!?? The walking food tour in the Chelsea Market (The Lobster Place was amazing!), seeing Newsies on Broadway, and shopping in Chinatown were some of my favorite things! But the whole trip was just a total blast. And by the time our 4-day trip was over we were completely exhausted...I slept almost the entire plane ride home. (BTW- Chad did a great job with the kids while I was gone!)

Chad Turns 33!

Chad is now officially OLD...haha! He turned 33 years old on August 23rd. But he doesn't even come close to having 33 gray hairs, so he's still in good shape. :) Chad celebrated by working a 13-hour day at the surgical center (lame dot com!!!). But we tried to make his evening as fun as possible. I got curbside Outback (since he got home too late to actually go out to the restaurant to eat) so he could have his favorite meal...steak and potatoes! Reece and I made him a special birthday crown, and of course Reece needed a matching crown for herself. Reece and I also baked daddy 33 chocolate cupcakes for his big day. All those candles nearly set off the fire alarm! Chad got some new church pants, a fly fishing rod, and some basketball shorts. We ended the evening with a relaxing dip in the hot tub. So, despite working most of the day, at least he ended his special day in a fun way!

10 Year Anniversary at the Oregon Coast

Chad and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary on August 17, 2012. A decade under our belts...we are practically veterans at this whole marriage thing! :) We celebrated our anniversary at Cannon Beach, which is on the coast of Oregon. My mom and aunt stayed with the kids (THANKS GRANDMA!) so Chad and I could get away for a few days together...and it was amazing! Our hotel was right on the beach overlooking the infamous Haystack Rock. Yes, for all of you Goonie fans, that is the rock where One-Eyed Willie kept his hidden treasure! :) We were a bit surprised to be at a beach that was so cold (we were totally spoiled living in South Florida) but fell in love with the quaint beauty of the Oregon Coast instantly. Chad was crazy and went swimming in the ice cold water...but only stayed in for about 30 seconds before rushing back to our campfire to warm up. Roasting marshmallows and eating smores on the beach was lots of fun. And we enjoyed jogging along the beach, getting a couples massage (which Chad totally enjoyed!), eating yummy seafood, sight-seeing, and just being together. 10 years flew by...and I am so happy to be stuck with my wonderful hubby for the rest of eternity. Te Amo Mucho Chaddie!
