Our Story

Welcome to our blog! Here's the quick and dirty about us:

Chad and I met on our first day of college at Utah State University. We started studying together, since we were in the same math class and lived in the same apartment building. But, those late-night study sessions quickly turned into excuses to hang out together. And that's how our story began. After two years of dating, we tied the knot on August 17, 2002 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

We currently live in Tucson, Arizona. We moved here after living in South Florida for five years, where Chad graduated from medical school and completed his internship year of residency. He is now working for the University of Arizona completing a three-year anesthesiology residency. I was fortunate enough to keep my job from Florida and now work remotely from home. I am the manager of advertising and communications for the business school at Nova Southeastern University.

And--most importantly--Chad and I are thrilled to be parents! Our little angel Reece was born on Jan. 26, 2010 and our handsome little Jace was born on June 30, 2011. We are so blessed to be the mom and dad of such darling and sweet kids.

Happy Halloween!

BOO! It's Halloween again. Like last year, we celebrated Halloween at a spooky party at the Johnston's house. The house was packed with many of our closest friends, who all dressed up to give each other a scare! Although there were no ghosts or goblins, the creative costumes made the party tons of fun. This year, Chad and I dressed up like X-Men (which just so happens to be one of my favorite movies...and arguably the best trilogy of all time! ha ha). Chad was Wolverine and I was Storm. Two mutans who created costumes with a little tin foil and lots of imagination!

Storm vs. Wolverine...wonder who would win??

The Guys!

The Girls!

Wolverine and Storm

Talk about scary! Crazy Girls!

Yay!! I'm so glad you are a blogger now! I already feel so much more involved in your life :) I think that you and I literally live as far apart as you can and still live in the U.S. (excluding Hawaii and Alaska) I loved your costumes for Halloween! I must say, silvery gray hair rocks on you! No need to dye it once it starts coming in for real ;) One day I'm going to have my own Halloween party so Russ and I can dress up :) Claira is going to be a bumble bee this year!

Wow, you sure have some good looking friends! Especially that one cop, with the legs that make me melt.

Okay I must say that I laughed so hard at your friends who were the Reno 911 cops. That is freakin hilarious! I love it! I am glad that you share the same love for X-Men that I have. You two look great.
