Our Story

Welcome to our blog! Here's the quick and dirty about us:

Chad and I met on our first day of college at Utah State University. We started studying together, since we were in the same math class and lived in the same apartment building. But, those late-night study sessions quickly turned into excuses to hang out together. And that's how our story began. After two years of dating, we tied the knot on August 17, 2002 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

We currently live in Tucson, Arizona. We moved here after living in South Florida for five years, where Chad graduated from medical school and completed his internship year of residency. He is now working for the University of Arizona completing a three-year anesthesiology residency. I was fortunate enough to keep my job from Florida and now work remotely from home. I am the manager of advertising and communications for the business school at Nova Southeastern University.

And--most importantly--Chad and I are thrilled to be parents! Our little angel Reece was born on Jan. 26, 2010 and our handsome little Jace was born on June 30, 2011. We are so blessed to be the mom and dad of such darling and sweet kids.

Reece's First Week

Here are some photos of baby Reece from her first few days in the big world. She is doing great, and is such a sweet little girl. She's got both her parents wrapped around her little finger. It's crazy how much we love this little baby...becoming parents is absolutely the most precious and amazing experience of our lives!

Reece and her daddy taking a little nap at the hospital.

Reece all dressed and ready to go home!

Reece saying "Peace Out" as we load her in the car seat to leave the hospital :)
My mom flew in at the last minute to stay with us and be here to help with the new baby. Reece loves her grandma, and we are soooo grateful to have her here. Thanks so much for the love and support!

Did I mention how much Chad loves his little girl?? :)

We ventured out for a walk today. It was a gorgeous day and it felt great to get out of the house. We are obviously new parents...we bundled Reece up like an eskimo for a walk in 70+ degree weather! But she sure looked cute!

The below pictures are from an attempted photo shoot I did. We received lots of beautiful flowers from our friends and family, so I thought it would be nice to get a picture of Reece with them. And what a better outfit for her to wear than a pink tutu...right?! (Thanks Teryn for the darling outfit...I'll get better pictures of her in it!) But, as you can see, Reece was not nearly as excited about her photo shoot. I still want to give a big THANK YOU to my parents, coworkers, husband, and sister for sending us such pretty flowers!!

What a princess! And don't you just love those long legs?? She is too cute!!
Isn't she just a doll...even when she's crying!?!
