Our Story

Welcome to our blog! Here's the quick and dirty about us:

Chad and I met on our first day of college at Utah State University. We started studying together, since we were in the same math class and lived in the same apartment building. But, those late-night study sessions quickly turned into excuses to hang out together. And that's how our story began. After two years of dating, we tied the knot on August 17, 2002 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

We currently live in Tucson, Arizona. We moved here after living in South Florida for five years, where Chad graduated from medical school and completed his internship year of residency. He is now working for the University of Arizona completing a three-year anesthesiology residency. I was fortunate enough to keep my job from Florida and now work remotely from home. I am the manager of advertising and communications for the business school at Nova Southeastern University.

And--most importantly--Chad and I are thrilled to be parents! Our little angel Reece was born on Jan. 26, 2010 and our handsome little Jace was born on June 30, 2011. We are so blessed to be the mom and dad of such darling and sweet kids.

Reece Turns 2!

Reece turned 2-weeks-old today! It's crazy to think that my due date isn't even until tomorrow, but instead of still being huge and pregnant I am the mother of a 2-week-old little princess.

Below are a few pictures of our little Reecer! She gained a whole pound since her birth, and grew several inches (which makes me think that they didn't measure her very accurately at her birth). She now weighs 7 lbs. 1 oz., and is 20 1/2 inches long. She's in the 10th percentile for her weight, and the 75th percentile for her height. Yep...she's long and skinny. But don't worry, she'll be getting that cute baby chub really soon at the rate she's gaining weight! :) (Just like her mommy...she knows how to enjoy a good meal! Ha Ha)

Above: Reece loves to stretch out her long legs! And look, she's already flexing those muscles!
Below: If this isn't the pose of a princess, I don't know what is!

She is the cutest little thing in the whole world! And Reece is such a good baby. Chad and I love to snuggle this little bundle of sweetness. And I'll probably drive her crazy with all my kisses...but I just can't resist smooching those chubby little cheeks! We sure love you Reece!

She is a long little thing! Claira was the same way.. so maybe when she's 3, she'll be the average height of a 4 1/2 year old! lol... Claira is probably now the average height of a 5 year old.. it's crazy! Reece is beautiful and I can't wait to meet her one day!
Hugs!

Kyson is sitting on my lap looking at the pictures and he wont let me move off of the one of Chad sitting at the hospital and he's crying because he wants to go to Chads house. Love you guys!
