Our Story

Welcome to our blog! Here's the quick and dirty about us:

Chad and I met on our first day of college at Utah State University. We started studying together, since we were in the same math class and lived in the same apartment building. But, those late-night study sessions quickly turned into excuses to hang out together. And that's how our story began. After two years of dating, we tied the knot on August 17, 2002 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

We currently live in Tucson, Arizona. We moved here after living in South Florida for five years, where Chad graduated from medical school and completed his internship year of residency. He is now working for the University of Arizona completing a three-year anesthesiology residency. I was fortunate enough to keep my job from Florida and now work remotely from home. I am the manager of advertising and communications for the business school at Nova Southeastern University.

And--most importantly--Chad and I are thrilled to be parents! Our little angel Reece was born on Jan. 26, 2010 and our handsome little Jace was born on June 30, 2011. We are so blessed to be the mom and dad of such darling and sweet kids.

Road Trip

Our little family took our first road trip together! We went up to Utah to bless Reece on Easter Sunday. It was so special to do her blessing at home with all of our family (thanks to everyone who came, especially our family members who travelled very far to be there with us!)

My grandma (below) made this beautiful dress for me to get blessed in when I was a baby. It was fun to have my own daughter blessed in the same dress as me! And it was really special to have Reece meet her Great Grandma wearing the dress she made so many years ago. Reece's great-grandma from Chad's side of the family made the beautiful white blanket (above) that Reece cuddled in during her blessing!

Reece, Atticus & Jocelyn...cousins all born within 3 months of each other. So fun!

We spent a few days (bundled up in our winter clothes because there was so much snow) in Utah before heading back home. While in the Beehive State, got to hang out with our families, visit friends, go snowboarding, see movies, eat out, go bowling, and do a little shopping. What could be more fun?? :)

On the road trip home, we made stops in St. George (saw Chad's buddy from high school), Las Vegas (stayed with the Attridges and rode the Stratosphere thrill rides), saw the Grand Canyon (breathtaking), visited the Arizona mountains in Flagstaff, and went boating and saw friends in Phoenix. Whew...it was a whirlwind trip! Reecer was a great traveler...she just hung out in her car seat without ever fussing.
Reece just chillin' in her car seat!

What a fun trip! Bummer we didn't come boating with you guys, that day ended up being a little crazy. One of these times we are sure to make it. I was so glad you guys stopped by though. It was so fun to see baby Reece, and you two of course. She is adorable.

I am so bummed that we were in the same city at the same time and didn't even know it! I wish we could have seen you guys! Reece's blessing seemed so special! She is so lucky to have you as parents! I loved your road trip, especially the GC pix! We will be back out in Utah at the end of July, incase you will be too!
