During the first week of August, Reece and I travelled to Idaho to stay with my parents for a week (and I went to my 10-year high school reunion). We enjoyed staying at my parents' new house in Caldwell...such a gorgeous view! We had lots of fun spending time with family. We even went to a fair, where Reece saw lots of animals and liked petting the horses. Although her cousin Oliver liked seeing all the animals, I think he had more fun pushing Reece around in her stroller!
While in Idaho, all my sisters were able to be together for a few days. We all went white water rafting down the Payette River together. It was lots of fun!!
After a week in Idaho, Reece and I drove to Utah to spend the next week at Lake Powell. We met up with Chad at the lake and he was so excited to see Reece...and me! It was hard on him to be away from his girl(s) for a whole week! :)
Lake Powell was great! Lots of fun spending time with all of the aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, and great grandparents. Reece's favorite thing to do was float! As you can see, she started out floating with lots of splashing and smiles...but the motion of the water must have soothed her...because her float trips often ended in a nap! SO CUTE!
And...in keeping with tradition...the boys played hard while the girls floated and sun-bathed. This year, the boys got ambitious and made a zip line between the two house boats. Quickly, the zip line evolved into a "Wipeout" course. So fun! (I'll post a video of the Wipeout course later...pretty hilarious!)
Now our trips are over and we're back to the real world! :(

Reece and daddy got some bonding time at the lake. Except it looks as if Reece is still working on being a clean eater (look closely to see her entire face and body covered with baby food)! LOL! Good thing you can be a mess at Lake Powell, because cleaning up is as easy as a quick dip in the lake!
We drove home to Tucson from Lake Powell...a long 10 hour drive. Reece did great! We are so lucky to have such a sweet, easy going baby! Along the way we saw some pretty cool sites. We passed by several rock formations, including the Mexican Hat...
Monument Valley...
