Our Story

Welcome to our blog! Here's the quick and dirty about us:

Chad and I met on our first day of college at Utah State University. We started studying together, since we were in the same math class and lived in the same apartment building. But, those late-night study sessions quickly turned into excuses to hang out together. And that's how our story began. After two years of dating, we tied the knot on August 17, 2002 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

We currently live in Tucson, Arizona. We moved here after living in South Florida for five years, where Chad graduated from medical school and completed his internship year of residency. He is now working for the University of Arizona completing a three-year anesthesiology residency. I was fortunate enough to keep my job from Florida and now work remotely from home. I am the manager of advertising and communications for the business school at Nova Southeastern University.

And--most importantly--Chad and I are thrilled to be parents! Our little angel Reece was born on Jan. 26, 2010 and our handsome little Jace was born on June 30, 2011. We are so blessed to be the mom and dad of such darling and sweet kids.

Aloha Maui!

ALOHA!

Chad and I just got back from a week-long vacation in Maui, Hawaii. We had so much fun! We decided to take a trip before the new baby gets here, because we probably won't be getting another chance for a while. My mom came to Tucson and stayed with Reece for the week, so it was a fun get-a-way for just me and Chad. (THANK YOU MOM!!!) We went with our friends JR and Brynn Bell, which made it lots of fun. And although me missed Reece like crazy, this trip was something we both needed! As you can imagine, Reece had a great time being spoiled by grandma all week!

Below are some photos from our trip...enjoy!

This is the view from the front porch of our condo

Me...my big 6-month belly...and Chad at Flemming beach! Perfect for body boarding...although it is much more difficult to do when you are prego! :)
Our favorite past time...playing Scrabble. Let's not talk about who won the on-going Scrabble competition...

The largest tree in the US (or something like that). It was really big!

Below are pictures from where we went snorkeling. We saw tons of cool fish, an octopus, about a dozen sea turtles (two of which happened to be mating!), and lots of whales. Coolest snorkel trip ever!!

At the luau! Yummy food and fun hula dancing!

One day we drove to Hana. Gorgeous drive! Below are some photos from that day trip. Along the way we stopped at several places to hike, see waterfalls, and hang out at the black sand beaches. So fun...despite the windy roads which made me car sick. Ugh! Chad was the only person brave enough to go swimming under the huge 400-foot waterfall. If only I weren't pregnant! :)

Below are just some pictures of us shopping and going to dinner! We had some of the best food...especailly the fresh pineapple and seafood. And can't forget the hula pie and chocolate cake (and you thought my belly looked big because I'm pregnant...haha)

On our last day in Maui, Chad and I went on a helicopter ride around the island. It was really cool to get an aerial view of the beautiful landscape. We had never been in a helicopter before...so fun!

This is us at the airport on our way home. Aloha Hawaii!

Very jealous. It looks like you two had fun. Isn't there a picture of Chad just like the one standing by a waterfall from Costa Rica? Being prego... it's the pits.

Ahhh little Deb...that baby bump has arrived. You look fabulous! I am loving the bangs. The trip looks like a success. Infact, in your helicopter pictures you two look straight out of a Bachelor episode, minus the baby bump! Love you guys, xoxo
