Our Story

Welcome to our blog! Here's the quick and dirty about us:

Chad and I met on our first day of college at Utah State University. We started studying together, since we were in the same math class and lived in the same apartment building. But, those late-night study sessions quickly turned into excuses to hang out together. And that's how our story began. After two years of dating, we tied the knot on August 17, 2002 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

We currently live in Tucson, Arizona. We moved here after living in South Florida for five years, where Chad graduated from medical school and completed his internship year of residency. He is now working for the University of Arizona completing a three-year anesthesiology residency. I was fortunate enough to keep my job from Florida and now work remotely from home. I am the manager of advertising and communications for the business school at Nova Southeastern University.

And--most importantly--Chad and I are thrilled to be parents! Our little angel Reece was born on Jan. 26, 2010 and our handsome little Jace was born on June 30, 2011. We are so blessed to be the mom and dad of such darling and sweet kids.

Cancun, Mexico

Chad and I took advantage of our free flights...again! We flew to Cancun, Mexico for a short 2-day trip, and then traveled to our soon-to-be home (Tucson, Arizona). We finished off our trip with a day of snowboarding in Park City, Utah. Man do we know how to cram a lot into a few days! :-)

Below are some pictures of Cancun. We had a blast, and agree that Cancun is home to the most beautiful beaches in the world! White sandy beaches and crystal blue water...it was breathtaking! We also took a day tour to Chitchen Itza (Mayan ruins located in the Yucatan Peninsula). It was amazing to see these ruins. It blew our minds to think that such advanced structures could be built so long ago (about 900 AD)! Another cool thing we saw was a sinote (spelling??) They are big holes in the ground where the limestone collapsed, and now it's a big well of water that you can swim in. (Unfortunately I didn't have a swim suit, so only Chad got to jump in!) No matter...it was still cool to see!

Chad jumping off the ledge into the sinote!

Me by the snake's mouth at the bottom of the Mayan temple.

Mi Amigo! LOL! (actually, I have no clue who he is. But Chad thought it would be funny for me to take a picture with one of the natives. He's sooo small!)

A big court where the Mayan people used to play a sports-type game...kind of like basketball. Except the losers got killed! (Good thing it's not so brutal these days!)

Ahhh...beautiful Cancun beaches!

We did go to the Oregon Coast and rented a beach house for 2 nights and 3 days this last weekend.. it was really fun, but super cold! I can't WAIT for warm weather! Oh.. and, I'm going to be in Arizona this summer with my fam! When are you officially moving over there? We'll have to hook up!
