Chad and I went on a road trip to Augusta, GA last month. Chad had an anesthisilogy residency interview at the Medical College of Georgia, and I came along for the ride. It had been a while since our last car ride across Florida (which was when we moved here from Utah almost 4 years ago!) so it was fun to make the drive again. After we loaded up with our traditional road trip snacks...PB and Honey sandwiches, trail mix, donuts, Mt. Dew and salt&vinegar chips...we hit the road! It was a short trip; we left on a Monday night and came home on Wednesday. And after 9 hours each way, we were sick of driving by the time it ended. But, it was fun to see the state, and see parts of Georgia we had never been.
We really loved Georgia. It's so pretty! The rolling hills and plantation houses were fabulous. It was cool to see all the cotton fields, too. The confederate flags were a bit much, but I'm sure the locals take a lot of pride in their history! And we timed it perfectly--the leaves were changing and the weather was great. Of course...we have no idea if we'll actually end up living there, but it was still fun to go explore. The only thing we missed out on was eating some Georgia Peaches. I guess that means we'll have to go back...

Hey guys...I love that you have a blog. What great pictures in your slideshow. I can't believe you have been together so long. You guys have such a cool story. I love it! It was so great to see you guys this weekend. We were so glad that you chose to spend your last night in town with us. It was really great of you to come. We really love hanging out with you two. You are both so much fun. Hopefully we can come visit you in Florida sooner than later. :) Until then, keep up the fun blog. It is such a great way to keep in touch.
