While in Oregon we spent lots of time playing games--the Knutson's are a big game family! (Chad's favorite is 3-hour-long games of Canasta!) We also went to Bogus Basin (ski resort in Boise) for a horse-drawn sleigh ride and dinner. It was really fun--and cold--with yummy food and cowboy fun!! We also did a Christmas dinner and program with my sister and nephews. (We did it on the 23rd since Chad and I were traveling to Utah on Christmas Eve.) What cute little wisemen Colton and Hunter are! And thanks Pam for making sure the program got coordinated perfectly!
We did all the traditional stuff--decorated cookies, dressed up to renact the Christmas Story, opened presents, ate homemade clam chowder, ate lots of treats, and played basketball. (Unforunately, the Champions reign--that's me and Todd--ended! Who knew Wade would get so good in one year?!?) We also went snowboarding (thanks Santa for my new board and boots! I love them!), sledding, out to movies, and out to eat. More than anything, it was great to see everyone and spend time with family & friends.
Going home reminded us that some things never change--or maybe some things are just part of the Crowther family genetics?? For instance, boys still wrestle (no matter how old or young)...
Little girls are still angels...
Boys are messy...
We hope you and yours had a wonderful holiday, and a prosperous New Year. I'm sad that our Christmas vacation is over, but happy for the fun times we were able to have! Now...it's back to the real world!

Cute blog entry Deb! Looks like you had a great vacation! I'm sad I didn't get to see you when you were at your parents! Miss you!
hey chad! We got your post and thought that was so nice of you to ask us to hang out. That would have been fun. Sorry we didn't call, our holiday was busy, busy! We had many things going on. Next time you are in town give us a ring, we will have to try to meet up. I would love to meet your wife. Take care...keep in touch.

You sure looked cold! That dry air sure can make you miss the humidity. Looks like you had a lot of fun, though, and it is always nice to see family.
