Our Story

Welcome to our blog! Here's the quick and dirty about us:

Chad and I met on our first day of college at Utah State University. We started studying together, since we were in the same math class and lived in the same apartment building. But, those late-night study sessions quickly turned into excuses to hang out together. And that's how our story began. After two years of dating, we tied the knot on August 17, 2002 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

We currently live in Tucson, Arizona. We moved here after living in South Florida for five years, where Chad graduated from medical school and completed his internship year of residency. He is now working for the University of Arizona completing a three-year anesthesiology residency. I was fortunate enough to keep my job from Florida and now work remotely from home. I am the manager of advertising and communications for the business school at Nova Southeastern University.

And--most importantly--Chad and I are thrilled to be parents! Our little angel Reece was born on Jan. 26, 2010 and our handsome little Jace was born on June 30, 2011. We are so blessed to be the mom and dad of such darling and sweet kids.

Beach Days Are Here Again!

It's getting hot again in Florida, which is good and bad. It's bad becuase it HOT and HUMID (which means every day is a bad hair day). But it's good because that means we go to the beach more often!
This weekend we went to the beach with our friends, the Baugh's. And like a bunch of boneheads, Chad and I fogrot to put on sunscreen. So, now we are totally sunburnt and putting on lots of aloe vera. Oh well...it's the start of a good base tan! Ha Ha

We had lots of fun catching some rays and jumping waves in the ocean. Living so close to the beach is definately one of the best perks to living in Fort Lauderdale! It's so much fun to just hang out and enjoy life in sunny South Florida.

Chad especially had fun burying Kennedy in the sand...I swear he's just a big kid himself most of the time. But that's just one of the reasons why I love him so much!

I'll just go ahead and apologize now if this next picture offends anyone...I just couldn't resist! After you've been to the beach so many times, you kind of get used to seeing skimpy swimming suits. But this one was classic! It was especially funny because Kennedy (who is only 4 years old) came up to us and said, "There's this lady wearing yellow who is not being very modest because I can see her butt!" It was so hilarious...as if the rest of us had no idea who the mystery woman in yellow was. She would have been pretty hard to miss, considering the fact that she propped herself directly in front of us! There's just no shame these days! :-)

Anyway, sorry for the risque photo...but hopefully you got as much of a kick out of it as I did. Other than the scanty bathing suits, the beach is always a blast. And, for all of you living in Utah where it's been snowing this past week...be jealous! :-) I'll try to send some sunshine your way.
