Our Story

Welcome to our blog! Here's the quick and dirty about us:

Chad and I met on our first day of college at Utah State University. We started studying together, since we were in the same math class and lived in the same apartment building. But, those late-night study sessions quickly turned into excuses to hang out together. And that's how our story began. After two years of dating, we tied the knot on August 17, 2002 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

We currently live in Tucson, Arizona. We moved here after living in South Florida for five years, where Chad graduated from medical school and completed his internship year of residency. He is now working for the University of Arizona completing a three-year anesthesiology residency. I was fortunate enough to keep my job from Florida and now work remotely from home. I am the manager of advertising and communications for the business school at Nova Southeastern University.

And--most importantly--Chad and I are thrilled to be parents! Our little angel Reece was born on Jan. 26, 2010 and our handsome little Jace was born on June 30, 2011. We are so blessed to be the mom and dad of such darling and sweet kids.

You're so WICKED!

Chad and I went to see the broadway play Wicked a few weeks ago. I conned Chad into taking me for my graduation present. I LOVED IT...and Chad even liked it! For those of you who are not familiar with Wicked, it serves as a prelude to the classic movie The Wizard of Oz, explaining the history behind the relationship between the witches (Glinda and the Wicked Witch of the West). The performers were amazing...they were witty and funny. And like all great plays, it made you laugh and made you cry! :-)
We went with our friends Louis and Alice Isom, who were so nice to take us out to dinner before. We went to a fabulous restaurant called Casa D'Angelo. Apparently, lots of famous people eat there when they come to Fort Lauderdale...although we didn't spot any celebrities. (Thanks again guys for such a fun date night!)
As a matter of fact, the play was so good that a few of my friends and I tried to go again later that week. There were discounted tickets you could win if you go a few hours before the show and enter your name into a drawing. Of course, we only won one ticket! And since three out of the four of us had already seen it, we let our friend Kathryn go.

But, the night was not all for naught. We all went to dinner at The Cheesecake Factory anyway. And any night that involves The Cheesecake Factory is a good night!

I told JR that you went to Wicked and he said, "I hear Chad is pretty wicked in the bedroom. Blog that." So I did. He thinks he is so funny.
