Our Story

Welcome to our blog! Here's the quick and dirty about us:

Chad and I met on our first day of college at Utah State University. We started studying together, since we were in the same math class and lived in the same apartment building. But, those late-night study sessions quickly turned into excuses to hang out together. And that's how our story began. After two years of dating, we tied the knot on August 17, 2002 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

We currently live in Tucson, Arizona. We moved here after living in South Florida for five years, where Chad graduated from medical school and completed his internship year of residency. He is now working for the University of Arizona completing a three-year anesthesiology residency. I was fortunate enough to keep my job from Florida and now work remotely from home. I am the manager of advertising and communications for the business school at Nova Southeastern University.

And--most importantly--Chad and I are thrilled to be parents! Our little angel Reece was born on Jan. 26, 2010 and our handsome little Jace was born on June 30, 2011. We are so blessed to be the mom and dad of such darling and sweet kids.

O-TOWN!

I went home to O-TOWN (Ontario, Oregon) last weekend and had a great time. It was like a little family reunion because all 4 sisters were together at my parent's house. It was so much fun to have the entire family all together...especially since that doesn't happen very often. Other than a few traveling bumps (getting my luggage lost on the way there, and getting stuck in Cincinnati for a night on my way home) the trip was perfect!

It was so great to be back West for some beautiful Fall weather. It was in the 50's the entire time I was home...burr! I have to say, coming back to hot & humid Florida was a little bit depressing. I was loving the cool weather, and missing the season changes. Although I do have to admit, living in Florida in the middle of winter definitely has its perks!!

Above: My sisters Kim and Monica (Gee...I wonder if those two are sisters? They don't look anything alike!)
Below: Me and my sis Pam!

In addition to just spending time with the family and enjoying the weather, we did some really fun things. My mom treated all of us sisters to a "GIRL DAY!" The five Knutson ladies spent a day getting massages, going out to eat, and doing some shopping. It was so much fun. THANKS MOM!!! That was a great b-day present!

My beautiful mom!
On the Sunday I was home, my sister Kim and her husband Jack blessed their cute little baby Oliver. It was really special for me to get to be home for that event. This was actually my first time seeing Oliver in person, and I decided he is just the cutest little guy ever!! I miss him already! In addition to cuddling up with little Oliver, I got to spend lots of time with my two little nieces, Morgan and Kyla. They were so adorable!!! And are growing up so fast. I must say...my sisters sure make some dang cute babies!!! (Not that I'm biased or anything!)

What a precious little family!

Grandpa...always count on him to have some candy for his grandkids!!!

Cute little Margan and Kyla! Can't go anywhere without those blankies!

It's definitely hard coming back to Florida, knowing that I'm so far away from my family. But I am certainly grateful for the time I got to spend with them. Thanks fam for everything you do. I love you all and miss you so much. I am very lucky to have my mom and three sisters as BEST FRIENDS!! (And I guess my good ol' dad is worth keeping around too! HA HA) Less than two months and we'll get to see each other again for Christmas...can't wait!

Great blog, Deb. You got some great pics...I especially love the ones of Kyla and Morgan getting M&M's from grandpa, and the one of Morgan and Kyla smiling in front of my fireplace. Could you send them to me? I had so much fun seeing you too. Can't wait until Christmas...unless you decide to go to Paris (which I wouldn't blame you at all). Love You!
