Our Story

Welcome to our blog! Here's the quick and dirty about us:

Chad and I met on our first day of college at Utah State University. We started studying together, since we were in the same math class and lived in the same apartment building. But, those late-night study sessions quickly turned into excuses to hang out together. And that's how our story began. After two years of dating, we tied the knot on August 17, 2002 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

We currently live in Tucson, Arizona. We moved here after living in South Florida for five years, where Chad graduated from medical school and completed his internship year of residency. He is now working for the University of Arizona completing a three-year anesthesiology residency. I was fortunate enough to keep my job from Florida and now work remotely from home. I am the manager of advertising and communications for the business school at Nova Southeastern University.

And--most importantly--Chad and I are thrilled to be parents! Our little angel Reece was born on Jan. 26, 2010 and our handsome little Jace was born on June 30, 2011. We are so blessed to be the mom and dad of such darling and sweet kids.

Triathlon

On Valentine's Day I competed in my first-ever triathlon. It was so much fun...despite the fact that the swim was in a lake that was only 4 feet deep! (I literally walked more than half of the swim because the water was so shallow!) Oh well.

Me, Kathryn & Holly

Getting ready to start...
The walking swim...lol!

Finished with the swim...off to the bike!

Bike done...trying to get my clothes adjusted while starting the run!

I did the tri with two of my good friends (Holly & Kathryn) and we had a great time. I even placed 5th in my age category. :) Now I want to get my own road bike so I can do another one...but do it faster! :)
My Valentine! :)

P.S. I guess I was the best lookin' athlete in the tri because the event web site made me their poster child...ha ha!! http://www.asiorders.com/view_event.asp?EVENTID=47411 (I look like such a dork...but at least I was having a good time!)

PEACE! haha! I love that you're the poster child for their website! yay! Good job on your triathlon! I almost did one with my friend, Nellie, when I lived down in Florida.. she loved it to! I'm jealous of your beautiful, sunny weather and you're in a swimsuit! Don't plan on getting in that or anything realatively warm weather-like when you come out to the Oregon Coast! haha.. speaking of that... dates? Do you have any yet? Are you still coming?

That's awesome! was it a full tri or a sprint? I did one back in June and having a good road bike makes a huge difference. Glad you had fun, AND looked good doing it!
