Progress on the Crib - Part 2

Well, Chad has certainly made a lot of progress on the crib! Below are some photos to show you how the crib is coming along. I must say...Chad has impressed me. Everything is square, fits perfectly, and looks fabulous. What a little carpenter he is turning out to be!

Here is what Chad started with...a big pile of wood!

Here is what Chad had completed as of last week. The two short ends and one long end. We used a dark oak stain...it has shades of brown and black. We wanted a dark crib, and are really happy with the finished color!

Here is the crib to-date. All assembled and looking like a real-life crib! :) Only one side left to assemble...and of course, some finish work!

We still need to stain the top pieces, put on the decorative boards, and some other finish work. The are planing to have two tones at the top...a combination of lighter and dark wood.
