Our Story

Welcome to our blog! Here's the quick and dirty about us:

Chad and I met on our first day of college at Utah State University. We started studying together, since we were in the same math class and lived in the same apartment building. But, those late-night study sessions quickly turned into excuses to hang out together. And that's how our story began. After two years of dating, we tied the knot on August 17, 2002 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

We currently live in Tucson, Arizona. We moved here after living in South Florida for five years, where Chad graduated from medical school and completed his internship year of residency. He is now working for the University of Arizona completing a three-year anesthesiology residency. I was fortunate enough to keep my job from Florida and now work remotely from home. I am the manager of advertising and communications for the business school at Nova Southeastern University.

And--most importantly--Chad and I are thrilled to be parents! Our little angel Reece was born on Jan. 26, 2010 and our handsome little Jace was born on June 30, 2011. We are so blessed to be the mom and dad of such darling and sweet kids.

Jace Update

Jace is still the reigning heavy-weight champ in the Crowther family. At his 9-month appointment he weighed a whopping 23 pounds! He is off-the charts in height, and in the 90+ percentile for both head circumference and weight. He is not quite mobile yet, though he really wants to be! He has decided that crawling is not cool and is a waste of time--he just wants to walk. Too bad he can't do it by himself, so mom and dad are stuck walking him around the house ALL DAY...and he cries every time you try to put him down. He can stand for a few seconds on his own and stand up holding on to furniture, but that's about it for now. He cut 4 teeth in one week just after his 9-month birthday...and the poor guy was so fussy for the few weeks before. I can't imagine how bad his mouth must of hurt! :( But he is back to his happy self now. And now he has a mouth full of teeth...and those two front beaver teeth are pretty adorable. He is still an eater (in case the below pictures don't make that obvious!) Reece is Jace's best buddy! They play "pick-a-boo" and he just laughs! She is a great big sis, and it is so fun to see them together. He loves to pull her hair, and she is very patient with him. Reece enjoys helping to feed Jace, and she even shares her Ring Pop suckers with him (see below). Jace has also recently discovered how to spit...and he does it for hours on end. He seriously makes the whole front of his shirt wet! It's cute...except when I am trying to feed him and food ends up all over the place. He is such a sweet little boy with lots of spunk and personality. We sure love our little man!
